Cruise ship VIKING SEA broke off moorings with 870 passengers on board VIDEO
Cruise ship VIKING SEA broke off her moorings at Ravenna Italy, on the morning Sep 17, in stormy, rainy weather with the wind in gusts exceeding 100 km/hour. 5 tugs responded, it took them some 4 hours to take the ship under control and keep her in a stable position, avoiding grounding or collision. The ship was docked back at Cruise Terminal in the afternoon, with all 870 passengers on board. Nobody was injured and there was no danger to them. No damages were reported.
