The fire broke out on Boat SPIRIT OF NORFOLK, Norfolk, USA, at noon times 07.08.2022, while the boat was on tour in Norfolk harbor, with more than 100 passengers on board. The fire reportedly began in the engine room, passengers were mustered on the upper deck until another tour boat came alongside and evacuated all passengers and most of the crew, with two crew remaining on board to assist in fire fighting. The boat was later berthed at the pier, and tug or tugs were joined by firefighting engines from the pier.
